Paper Poppy Workshop

Discover the joy of paper flower making in our Paper Poppies Workshop, where you’ll learn to create three beautiful crepe paper poppies to take home.
No crafting experience is needed. You’ll be guided step by step through the process of cutting, shaping, curling and assembling your petals to create realistic, full-bodied poppies that look beautiful in a vase or as part of a floral display.
Create three paper poppies in colours of your choice.
Learn to cut, shape, curl and assemble crepe paper petals.
Discover simple techniques for creating natural-looking petals and detailed flower centres.
Leave with your finished poppies and the skills to make more paper flowers at home.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll work with quality crepe paper and learn how a few simple techniques can transform flat sheets of paper into beautifully detailed blooms. There’s something wonderfully satisfying about watching each flower take shape.
The workshop is relaxed, welcoming and completely beginner-friendly. Take your time, enjoy the process and have a chat while you create.
By the end, you’ll have a gorgeous posy of three handmade paper poppies to brighten your home and hopefully the confidence to keep making more.
Finished flower size: Approximately 20-25cm each.
Complimentary tea, coffee, and water are provided during the workshop. You’re also very welcome to BYO wine, drinks, and nibbles if you’d like to make it a relaxed creative outing with friends.

No Skill Level Required
You don’t need to be “crafty” to enjoy this workshop. You’ll be guided through each step, and there’s no pressure to make your flowers look exactly like anyone else’s. The fun is in creating something that’s uniquely yours.

Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 2 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don’t reach this number, we may cancel the class; in this case we’ll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class
Accessibility
Garden of Wire Craft Workshop is located in one of Oberon’s old buildings and has some accessibility limitations. The entry is via two low wide steps. The toilet is located outside via two steps, a narrow side pathway and is a “typical” Australian brick outhouse with limited space. We understand this is not ideal but will assist with steadying hands if required.

- All bookings are final within 72 hours of your workshop, refunds, reschedules, or credits are offered at the managements discretion.
- If you are late or miss your session (no-show), we are unable to refund or reschedule as materials and staffing are prepared in advance.
