Full Bloom: Giant Paper Flower Workshop

Create a breathtaking oversized crepe paper flower and discover the art of large-scale botanical paper sculpture.
In this immersive workshop, you’ll learn how to transform simple sheets of Italian crepe paper into a spectacular bloom measuring approximately 50–60cm across. Inspired by the soft beauty of peonies and garden flowers, these statement pieces are perfect for wall décor, special events, creative displays or simply bringing a little everlasting beauty into your home.
Working petal by petal, you’ll learn how to cut, shape, curl and assemble your flower, creating realistic movement, texture and depth. While the process is surprisingly achievable for beginners, it is also wonderfully mindful and rewarding for experienced makers.
You’ll be able to choose from a range of beautiful colour palettes and will leave with your own completed giant flower, along with the skills and confidence to continue creating at home.

What to Wear?
Comfortable clothes and shoes are best, wire can be very unforgiving on clothing, so nothing fancy is ideal.

Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 2 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don’t reach this number, we may cancel the class; in this case we’ll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class
Accessibility
Garden of Wire Creative Workshop is located in one of Oberon’s old buildings and has some accessibility limitations. The entry is via two low wide steps. The toilet is located outside via two steps, a narrow side pathway and is a “typical” Australian brick outhouse with limited space. We understand this is not ideal but will assist with steadying hands if required.
Term and Conditions
- All bookings are final within 72 hours of your workshop, refunds, reschedules, or credits are offered at the managements discretion.
- If you are late or miss your session (no-show), we are unable to refund or reschedule as materials and staffing are prepared in advance.
