Foam Clay Mirror Birthday Party
Create your own decorated mirror using soft air-dry foam clay in this relaxed, hands-on workshop. With simple guidance and plenty of creative freedom, you’ll shape, colour and embellish a fun, personalised frame, beginner-friendly, mess-free and satisfying to make.

Come along and get hands-on with soft air-dry foam clay, a wonderfully squishy, mess-free material that’s super fun to shape and decorate. In this relaxed, playful workshop, you’ll create your very own funky mirror frame, decked out in colour, shape and a few cute charm embellishment…. anything that sparks your imagination!
What’s Happening:
- Step-by-Step Guidance: I’ll show you how to work with foam clay from start to finish, so you can feel confident and creative.
- Make It Yours: Pick your mirror shape and go wild with colours, textures, and decorations. No rules—just fun!
- Fun & Friendly Party Vibe: Perfect for a birthday celebration, the studio is a relaxed, playful space for kids to craft, chat and laugh together.
- All Ages & Skill Levels: Totally beginner-friendly, but experienced crafters will enjoy experimenting too. Suitable for ages 6 and up.
By the end of our 1.5-hour session, you’ll have a fully finished, custom mirror frame to take home and a bunch of new ideas for foam clay projects at home. It’s colourful, hands-on, and guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
At the end of the workshop, you will have a beautiful Cloud mirror and stand to take home.

What to Wear?
Comfortable clothes and shoes are best. Kids activities can some times be a bit messy. Party outfits are welcome, just make sure they can take a bit of creativity!
Minimum & maximum numbers of participants
Minimum numbers for a party to run are 4 guests.
We have comfortable seating for 12 guests. However, we can squeeze 14 guests at a maximum.
Self Catering
Garden of Wire is happy for you to self cater. There is a small kitchenette with a kettle, microwave, sink and small fridge. However it is not suitable for preparation of food.
Parent supervision requirements
To make sure all the kids are safe and the party runs smoothly, we ask that at least one parent or guardian stays onsite for the duration of the session. This is especially helpful if you’re providing food or drinks.
For our younger guests (ages 5–8), having a parent or nominated adult nearby to assist with bathroom breaks is important, as I need to keep an eye on the rest of the group.
I’ll lead all the creative fun and ensure everyone is engaged, your presence just helps everything flow safely and smoothly. I have a valid Working With Children Check and Police Check,
Can siblings join in?
Yes they can but they will need to be counted in the overall guest numbers.
Accessibility
Garden of Wire Creative Workshop is located in one of Oberon’s old buildings and has some accessibility limitations. The entry is via two low wide steps. The toilet is located outside via two steps, a narrow side pathway and is a “typical” Australian brick outhouse with limited space. We understand this is not ideal but will assist with steadying hands if required.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
- To secure your party date, a $150 deposit is required.
- If you need to cancel up to 3 days before the party, no fee applies.
- For cancellations within 3 days of the party, we’re unfortunately unable to provide a refund as we’ve already prepared materials and planned the session.
- Full payment due on or before the day of the party
- We appreciate your understanding — this ensures every party runs smoothly and every child has a fun, fully-prepared experience.
