The Creative Garden Cloche

Step into a world of rustic charm and creative play with the newest addition creative addition to our wire workshops. The Creative Cloche. In this hands-on class, you’ll transform wire netting, natural elements and small wire embellishments into your own sculptural garden cloche, whimsical, practical and completely unique to you. Perfect for adding character to your garden beds, pots, verandas or indoor spaces.
Inspired by old-world cottage gardens and found-object art, these cloches can be left beautifully simple or embellished with curls, weaving, natural elements, and decorative details to suit your own style. Use them to protect plants, display treasured garden pieces, support climbing plants or simply as a striking piece of rustic garden art.
No experience needed! This relaxed and welcoming workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone craving a mindful, creative escape. You’ll be guided step-by-step through shaping, constructing, and embellishing your cloche using a mix of repurposed and natural materials. Each piece develops its own personality as you work, making no two creations alike.

What to Wear?
Comfortable clothes and shoes are best, wire can be very unforgiving on clothing, so nothing fancy is ideal. Kids activities can some times be a bit messy. No Sunday best, just comfy clothes that can take a bit of creativity!
Do I need to wear gloves?
Yes! If you would like to wear gloves, we ask you to bring your own sturdy garden style of gloves for hygiene purposes. Some gloves are available, they are washed after each lesson.
Minimum Numbers of Participants
Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 2 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don’t reach this number, we’ll cancel the class; in this case we’ll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class
Accessibility
Garden of Wire Creative Workshop is located in one of Oberon’s old buildings and has some accessibility limitations. The entry is via two low wide steps. The toilet is located outside via two steps, a narrow side pathway and is a “typical” Australian brick outhouse with limited space. We understand this is not ideal but will assist with steadying hands if required.
Term and Conditions
- All bookings are final within 72 hours of your workshop — no refunds, reschedules, or credits can be offered.
- If you are late or miss your session (no-show), we are unable to refund or reschedule as materials and staffing are prepared in advance.
