Make your child’s birthday one to remember with this hands-on Blast Off! Rocket Party, designed especially for curious, creative kids who love building and testing their ideas.
We keep the projects simple and achievable, so mixed skill levels aren’t a problem. Every child can succeed, have fun, and leave with something they’re proud of.

Rubber Band Rocket Racers
They’ll cut, colour, design and construct their rockets using markers, pipe cleaners, sparkly bits and bobs and plenty of imagination. Once built, it’s time to launch and race them — with lots of laughs and friendly competition along the way.
Party length options:
1 hour-1.5 hours – Two rocket builds. Great for 6 to 8 year olds.
1.5 hours –2 hours – All three rocket builds. Great for 9+ years and above.
This party is fun, engaging, and low-pressure — perfect for birthdays where you want creativity, movement and memorable moments without overwhelm.
What’s included in your party
- All materials, decorations and launch codes to make 2 or three rockets in your chosen time frame.
- All tools (scissors, stapler and glue guns).
No Skill Level Required
No prior experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and creativity. We will guide you through your chosen party.
FAQ’s
What to Wear?
Comfortable clothes and shoes are best. Kids activities can some times be a bit messy. Party outfits are welcome, just make sure they can take a bit of creativity!
Minimum & maximum numbers of guests
Minimum numbers for a party to run are 4 guests.
We have comfortable seating for 12 guests. However, we can squeeze 14 guests at a maximum.
Self Catering
Garden of Wire is happy for you to self cater. There is a small kitchenette with a kettle, microwave, sink and small fridge. However it is not suitable for preparation of food.
Parent supervision requirements
To make sure all the kids are safe and the party runs smoothly, we ask that at least one parent or guardian stays onsite for the duration of the session. This is especially helpful if you’re providing food or drinks.
For our younger guests (ages 5–8), having a parent or nominated adult nearby to assist with bathroom breaks is important, as I need to keep an eye on the rest of the group.
I’ll lead all the creative fun and ensure everyone is engaged, your presence just helps everything flow safely and smoothly. I have a valid Working With Children Check and Police Check,
Can siblings join in?
Yes they can but they will need to be counted in the overall guest numbers.
Accessibility
Garden of Wire Creative Workshop is located in one of Oberon’s old buildings and has some accessibility limitations. The entry is via two low wide steps. The toilet is located outside via two steps, a narrow side pathway and is a “typical” Australian brick outhouse with limited space. We understand this is not ideal but will assist with steadying hands if required.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
- To secure your party date, a $150 deposit is required.
- If you need to cancel up to 3 days before the party, no fee applies.
- For cancellations within 3 days of the party, we’re unfortunately unable to provide a refund as we’ve already prepared materials and planned the session.
- Full payment due on or before the day of the party.
- We appreciate your understanding — this ensures every party runs smoothly and every child has a fun, fully-prepared experience.
