About Garden of Wire
Small group craft workshops in Oberon, 40 minutes from Bathurst in the Central Tablelands.
Welcome to Garden of Wire, my little creative nook on Oberon’s main street.
It’s part studio, part cosy escape, and part “I didn’t know I could make that!” discovery zone.
People come here for lots of reasons: to try something new, to get out of the house, to meet others, or simply to give their brain a rest from the noise of everyday life. Whatever brings you through the door, you’re welcome, whether you’re flying solo or dragging a friend by the hand.
I work with recycled fencing wire and natural bits like pine cones, lichen, twigs, the sorts of things you’d expect to find on a long walk. Together, they turn into delicate, whimsical pieces that look nothing like their rugged beginnings. (A bit like all of us, really.)
I don’t “teach,” not in the chalkboard-and-diagrams sense. I share what I know, get your hands moving and keep things relaxed and fun. My favourite part is watching people realise they’re far more creative than they ever gave themselves credit for. And the laughter, there’s usually plenty of that.
The Studio
Think eclectic garden conservatory meets a tiny magical library. Light, warm, gently floral, with 80s/90s music in the background and a collection of memories from a few past lives.
It’s the kind of place that feels a little bit secret, a little bit special. Warm, safe and welcoming, perfect for women’s catch-ups, hens parties or anyone who wants to spend an afternoon wrapped in creativity, laughter and a bit of magic.
You walk in curious. You walk out calmer, happier, and holding something you’re genuinely proud of, plus the memory of a good chat or a new friend. If that sounds like your kind of place, I’d love to have you here.
